Babak Taati

Babak Taati, PhD PEng, received his BSc, MASc, and PhD from Sharif University of Technology, Simon Fraser University, and Queen’s university (2009) respectively. He is a Scientist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute – University Health Network, with a cross appointment in the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME) at the University of Toronto. He also holds an Assistant Professor appointment (status only) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. His research applies computer vision systems to solve real-world health care challenges in rehabilitation and the management of chronic conditions.
