Daniel J. Strauss

Daniel J. Strauss is full Professor for Systems Neuroscience and Neurotechnology as well as Head of the Systems Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Unit at the Medical Faculty of the Saarland University and the School of Engineering, htw saar/.

Daniel was a scientific assistant at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Mannheim, Germany from 1999 to 2001 and scientific assistant at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Saarland University Hospital from 2001-2004. Before the call as professor he has been the Head of modeling and computational intelligence at the Leibniz-Institute for New Materials, Saarbruecken, Germany from 2002 to 2005. His current research interests are the systems neuroscience of attention and cognitive effort and neurotechnological approaches in human-machine-interaction. Dr. Dr Strauss received his Ph.D. degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Mannheim, Mannheim, Germany, and his Ph.D. degree in theoretical medicine as well as habilitation from the Faculty of Medicine, Saarland University, Germany.
