Houston Baker

Houston Baker earned a B.A. degree in physical sciences from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. degree in physiology and biophysics from The Ohio State University. He served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Universitaet des Saarlandes in electrophysiology and biophysics of excitable tissues and with the Red Cross Blood Research Laboratory in cryobiology. He is currently with the National Institutes of Health’s National Cancer Institute as a Program Director with the NCI Cancer Imaging Program. He previously served as Business Executive of the American Society of Plant Physiologists, Executive Officer of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and a Health Scientist Administrator with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and with the National Institutes of Health’s National Center of Research Resources, Center for Scientific Review, and Division of Research Grants.
