Paolo Melillo

Paolo Melillo (M’12) was born in Naples, Italy, on June 29, 1985. He received the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in 2008 in Biomedical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Health Management in 2012 from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy. He received a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering in 2015 from the University of Bologne “Alma Mater”, Bologne, Italy.

He is Assistant Professor of Applied Medical Technology and Methodology at the Multidisciplinary Department of Medical, Surgical and Dental Sciences of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Naples, Italy. He has authored or coauthored about 50 journal and conference papers in the fields of medical technology, in particular, data mining applied to health information, translational engineering in health, telemedicine, and signal processing.

Dr. Melillo is a member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, the Italian Association of Medical and Biological Society, the International Federation of Medical and Biological Society, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the Italian Mathematical Union.
