Pedram Ataee

Pedram Ataee received his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He finished his doctorate studies working on the modeling, identification, and control of the autonomic cardiorespiratory regulation at the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. He held Machine Intelligence Team Lead position for 3 years at Thalmic Labs Inc., the inventor of Myo control armband. He invented a breakthrough NLP-based gesture recognition engine with 5 US patents working on +100k gesture control armbands all around the world. Dr. Ataee has extensive experience in technology startups focused on artificial intelligence, wearable technology, and internet of things as founder and investor.
