Ruth Lucas

Ruth Lucas received her bachelor of nursing (BSN) in 1986 at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, her master’s (MS) in 2009 and doctor of philosophy in nursing (PhD) in 2011 at University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago Il. She completed postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University School of Nursing (2011-2013), Durham, NC and a one year postdoctoral fellowship at University of Connecticut School of Nursing (2013-2014), Storrs CT. She is presently an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She has published on maternal and health care professional’s report of infant breastfeeding behaviors. Dr. Lucas is a member of American Nursing Association, Council for Advancement of Nursing Science, International Society of Human Milk and Lactation, and International Congress of Infant Studies.
