Sara Pahlavan

Sara Pahlavan received her B.Sc. in Biology and her M.Sc. in Physiology from Shiraz University. She pursued her Ph.D. by focus on cardiomyocytes’ electrophysiology which has been followed in her postdoctoral fellowship at Prof. Martin Morad’s lab. She has promoted to assistant professor since 2017 at Royan Institute where she leads a group mainly working on familial cardiovascular diseases using patient-specific iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and cardiotoxicity screenings.
